4. Tin Toy (1988)
Directed by John Lasseter and produced by Pixar, “Tin Toy” tells the story of a tin one-man-band toy who comes to life and is forced to navigate a perilous world of rambunctious human toddlers. It won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film in 1988 and marked the first time a computer-animated film won the award. The film’s success inspired Pixar to create its first feature-length film, “Toy Story.”
